If your computer monitor isn’t working right, odds are good it can be fixed instead of having to buy a replacement. A new LCD can cost upwards of one hundred and fifty dollars, while a new backlight or inverter will run less than half of that. If your screen is looking dim or even completely dark (but still turned on) odds are good that you only need a new inverter or backlight. If the monitor won’t turn on at all, it could be as simple a matter as a broken switch or a power supply issue. Any of these problems can be easily repaired for far less than what you would pay for a new monitor. Not only will you be saving money, but you’ll also be conserving, going green, and preventing e-waste. It’s a win all around!
